Calla's Glory kids Choir Performance & Kelsey's Tap Show

This is impossible to believe, but I am going to catch up on my blog this month! I know, I have made empty promises before, but I miss writing on a regular basis so I will breeze through the summer and hopefully by September 1 I will be feeling all tidy and updated on here.

We left off last in May, on the day we drove home from our family vacation with the Stoltzfus side. Friday was a big day because we spent oodles of hours in the car, and then rushed home to change into "concert clothes" for Calla's spring concert with the church choir. Hopefully nobody stood close enough to her to smell her "roadtrip hair."

I faithfully took video of the performance, which I now cannot find. Shhh. She had a little solo before one of the songs.

below: the play was about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego

below: singing her solo! Calla loves solos.

below: Opa came to her performance, and afterwards there was refreshments in the gym. I got this pic-
below: I also invited Annie and Molly because I thought they'd enjoy the play. They said they did!

below: the next morning we had one of Calla's last soccer games.

below: Parker's perch (the stroller)

below: Jay liked to dribble around with whomever of Calla's teammates who were on the sidelines. HAha!

Later that very same day, Kelsey Mae had her tap performance. It was a big weekend!

Tuesday morning with Molly and Ben over to play. One of the last of the schoolyear!
below: Tuesday afternoon soccer practice. Parker is saying "put me in coach"

below: Wednesday of that week I took Kelsey Mae to school for her kindergarten preview. She couldn't wait. It simply involves visiting the teacher and the classroom and coloring a picture but she was pretty pumped.

below: Wednesday afternoon/evening we got to baby-sit Sutton for a few hours! It was so much fun.

below: bottle feeding! so fun! I haven't gotten to do that much with Bubba
below: dinnertime!
below: Thursday of that week we had the Girl Scouts finally "bridge ceremony." I still can't figure out what it really was.
below: a picture in front of Wheaton's "girl scout cabin." Who knew there was such a thing.

below: singing songs

below: a picture of the girls on the "bridge." Again, I am still not sure ....
below: Parker eating spaghetti, a favorite food of his. Not of mine.
below: This week we received a brochure asking us to volunteer at church. We thought it was hilarious Parker was on the front of it (bottom right) because he is such a cry baby and I can't think of a better reason why people should NOT want to help
below: spring weather!

below: I took Jay's buddy Blake with me and the boys on a walk around Lake Herrick while Kelsey had a play date with Blake's sister
below: Jay kept saying "be careful Blake!" haha. He is so cautious

That weekend we hit up the pool for the first time, on opening day. This was Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.

Parker discovered a love for the sand!
below: a friend of mine's daughter hated this swimsuit but Kelsey fell in love with it the second she laid eyes on it. Ruffles, neon colors and hearts. what's not to love?
below: jumping in! yay!

Catch up tomorrow!
